super bowl LOL I have no idea how the hell you play that gam, all I know is that if you have the ball and run into the "endzone" its called a "touchdown" i think, but might watch it cause its on at 9am here and not like 2am (hope janet kackson make a repeat performance:p )

Now league is a REAL mans sport, used to watch rugby but got sick of all the kicking.

thay show about 3 games /year of NFL in Finland so i wouldn't have missed it for anything... and a good game it was too

I live in detroit and after 3-4 years of the city trying to bandaid all the nasty crap in the downtown area I must say that I didn't give a damn about the super bowl and never will. All those years and years of tax payer money spent just for a couple days on TV. What a damn shame. The super bowl is just a multimillion dollar advertizing facade. When's the last time you heard someone commenting on the commercials instead of the game itself? I rest my case.

People actually watch the NFL in other countries? I thought American sports were inferior to the likes of rugby, soccer etc.

As it so often seems to go in our country... Finland was the european champion in American Football for many years in a row in the 80's and 90's but then the smallness of our country and the shortsightedness of our politicians took it's toll, as big countries like Germany and the UK started to take interest in the sport and ran us over with NFL europe and such. (Bitterness anyone ? :P)

In 2000 i bought my first Madden game and after learning the basics of the game by playing it on PC, i joined the team my uncle was coaching :)
(that tells alot about the level of competition here :) ) Though the game doesn't always resemble real football that much, it's alot of fun.
