    Point values as Commander?

Hey guys, i'm new to the forum. I've had BF2 since christmas and just got Special Forces today.

Anyway, i've been trying out the commander a few times....and my question is...How do the point values work as commander? (how exactly are you getting points?) I'm usually a sniper and will take out other players messing with my artil/scanner...but while i'm commander I only get one point for a kill. Then i'll get 3-4 enemy troops with an artil. drop but not receive 8points.

Any info on this would be nice, thanks in advance.

Im not quite sure acutally, Ive wandered that myself quite a bit. It might have to do with how many squads are up and if all the squads are full...And just doing normal things like UAV or arty. But as far the point values go Im not sure.

The comm points are calculated in the way your team performs. i.e. Taking flags, getting kills, repairs and such. You also get one point for killing too. However, whatever kills you get from arty will count toward de kit you have. I got my vet sniping while being comm.

I played about 2-3 hours of special forces today and got vet badges for all classes but anti-tank and medic...then i unlocked the 3rd Spec Ops gun...wow, that is my favorite gun for medium/close range battles. I love the red-dot scopes.

Hey, how did you get that for your sig?

Your points as a commander is the average score of players with non negative scores on your team.

If you commanded 5 guys, with scores of 10, 10, 2, 2, and -10 your command score would be 6.

                    lol

Remember, you don't get any points for any kills while playing as commander.

You mean a sig where your stats appear? well copy the link of my sig and change the number to your PID, if you don't know your PID go to www.bf2s.com and enter your name.

Happened to me too; this sucks...

All my combat badges were earned on foot, (no cheap helos or jets) and I would get the Vet Sniper on foot... I thought this bug was fixed

Thanks for letting me know how to do the stats sig. I'll have to do it later cause their "server is too busy right now".

I'm looking at your guys' computer specs and I just relized how behind i am, lol.

AMD Athlon 2.2GHz - 1Gig of RAM - ATi Radeon 9600XT - 80GB HD. Looks like my next upgrade will be more RAM......again.

                              Ditto. :)

The only difference is a 160 GB HD here.
