I just got the 2 free unlocks today, and me and most of my friends unlocked something right away. Then I found out it was for the new weapons. They said the free unlocks should be out AFTER the next patch. But it came out early, and I wasted it. Will DICE take back our 2 unlocks and give us the new weaps?

Its kind of dumb how that acutally worked. I loged in and seen 2 unlocks and wet my pants and selected the mp7 and dao. I thought it was some kind of mistake so I diddnt even think about the patch I just selected the new weapons. Now I hear its for the patch
Mabey they will relealize what they have done and reset this.

Heh, I have all the unlocks..so I'm glad it didn't show anything otherwise I probably would have done the same thing.

Face it dude. Me, you and many others made the same mistake of unlocking the old weapons. Now after the patch comes out you have to wait for the next promotion to get the new unlocks. For me that's 21,000 points

yea...as I explained in another topic, the unlocks are for the upcoming patch. EA/Dice released a statement saying that you would see this happen sometime soon, and they explained that they were for the new unlocks. If you have all the guns already, you should see nothing there but a black box. If you don't, then you would see the guns you have yet to unlock. If you did unlock something, then you are out of luck, and have to wait till the next time you rank up.

Well you never know. Remember, they are adding 10 new ranks to the game...which means just like the last time they messed with the ranks, the reqs might be a lot lower than what they are now. SGT major might be lowered to say 35,000 points or so...LT to 50,000 or 60000....These are just random guesses obviously, but my point is, it might not be as bad as you think. Last time they messed with the ranks, I jumped 4 ranks...lol...so who knows...just have hope...Comment

EA should have replaced that stupid advert telling people the Europeans Are Coming with an explanation of what is going on. Then again, seeing as the unlock window comes up over the advert it wouldn't have been much help to some.Comment

Doesn't really matter to me, because I am only 5500 points away from Sergeant Major. So it shouldn't be that long before I get the new unlocks anyway.
But it sucks if you are a ways away from your next promotion and you wasted them.

I dont know why I didnt think of why the unlocks where there really.. so I went ahead and unlocked two weapons.. and im at 22000 points!!
Is this a ****en bad joke or what?? they released a half-arsed not even finished game and the first patch wrecked the game.. a while later an emergency hotfix lands and the next patch made the damn thing use oodles and oodles more of ram?? WTF? Im seriously starting to think that there's some sort of conspiracy behind this malady..Comment
