The EVO is way stiffer and takes more pressure to use.

Did you have any issues with the calibration or something? :p if im flying sometimes it starts leaning down or way off to the right, so impossible to bomb I have to plug it in and out about 20 times to get it to a useable state.
It just completely stops working as well until i restart bf2.

Mine is too loose wanna swap ? :p

My SideWinder Pro just went t!ts up so I got myself the Extreme 3D Pro . Still not used to it yet but I still think the SideWinder is better , I wud have got another but could not find one for luv nor money.

I had the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro in the past, it worked decently, for a while, then it started to go all crazy. Anywhere around the center position it was not very accurate at all with the movements. Then it just got worse and worse. I then picked up the Saitek Cyborg Evo and I absolutely love it! It has a much much nicer feel and it is much more precise in movements. I would highly reccomend the Saitek Cyborg Evo over the Logitech.

Most top BF42 pilots belive the Sidewinder Precision 2 is the best joystick ever. Its ashame that MS stopped making it. MS also made what many belive the best mouse ever (intellimouse Explorer 3.0) which many top CS players still use. Sad that when they made the 4.0 it was a POS.

Im in the same boat. I have owned both joysticks (logi 3D Pro and Evo) for extended periods of time. I originally had a logi 3d Pro and ended up with problems. i ended up getting a Cyborg evo as replacement and have to say it kicks that logitech stick real bad.

Someone else mentioned that u have to rest your thumb on the thumb hat instead of a thumbrest; in BF2 if u are using a joystick u should have your views set to the hat in any case and should be cycling through them quite often using your thumb in any case. Imho this is a benefit so that u dont start getting lazy and forget to constantly check multiviews while flying, which would happen if u did have an additional thumb rest. The throttle on the Evo is also so much better than that on the 3D pro (especially for helicopters).
Cyborg Evo is a great joystick and is superior to the Logitech 3D pro.
