It isn't the rate of fire, it's the area of effect. You can't miss with the blackhawk (unless you're terrible.)
So if you gave MEC and China choppers the same area of effect as the blackhawk do you think they would be as lethal even though the rate of fire is slower?. I mean its a mini gun the BH fires, the MEC and China choppers only fire a machine gun. Fire a minigun at a human being and it would easily rip him to pieces I'm sure. (Yes it's a game)

Anyway, once the headset was taken care of, they showed me quickly how to handle/operate the simulator machine gun-- an FN M240 GPMG (7.62x51mm)--with my right hand while keeping my left hand on the edge of the window hole, so I could fire one-handed while lean forward and out like an actual gunner would. When I did lean out the window, as the aircraft took lifted off, I was hit by a gust of wind, just like a real gunner would be. This simulated wind increases and decreases according to the airspeed.
So, we lifted off the ship in a Navy MH-60 Blackhawk helicopter and headed for the shore.
Thanks man now get a parachute and jump from 40 feet in the air and see if the chute opens
M134 7.62mm Machine Gun (1962-1975). The M134 "minigun" (Air Force GAU-2B/A) is a high rate of fire machine gun that uses the Gatling principle. The firing rate is selectable at 2,000 spm or 4,000 spm. The M134 was used on the M21, M27, XM50, XM93, and Emerson MINI-TAT on the UH-1 "Huey", OH-6A Cayuse, and OH-58A Kiowa. It was also used on the M18, M28 series, and XM64 on the AH-1G, MOD AH-1S, and Production AH-1S "Huey" Cobra, and XM53 on the AH-56A Cheyenne. The M134 is also used on a wide variety of special operations aircraft. The M134 was classified Standard A (over 9,500 units were built).

WAIT!!!!! You're kidding!! You mean all this time I have been playing a GAME!!??!!??!!!!
the "its a game" argument doesnt work in bf2 as well as other shooters because much of the game IS realistic. most gameplay changes that i see in 1.2 have both realism and gameplay implications. battlefield is in no way a simulator, but realism is definitly a part of what makes bf2 tick. now im not saying that the thread poster was in anyway correct, but if this game had no realism, why would we have a maximum altitude cieling for jets, or a start time for helicopter blades to start spinning. bf2 is a happy medium between gameplay and realism, if it wasnt we would be running around with bfgs and railguns.
anyhow the m134(minigun) is being weakened next patch, this is a non-issue, also helicopters are being weakened. all in all, no more bh whoring.
I think the Blackhawk as a whole needs to get nerfed. It's faster, more agile, better armed and seems to be more heavily armoured than the other transport heli. It dominates maps like Mashtuur city, with the other heli just chugging around trying to keep itself in the air.

Just because you've read one article in your life and you've seen one blackhawk with different machinegun than minigun doesn't mean that all the blackhawks will be like that. You can mount any kind of gun or rocket launcher on any transport helicopter, depending on the needs, including the minigun.
Technically, it's a SEAhawk, not a Blackhawk. And the tailwheel is in the wrong place. On the navy versions, the tailwheel is closer to the front of the helo to allow for more precise steering onboard ship. Also, none of the navy versions have crew doors on both sides. And to be even more of a an anal prick, the Marine Corps doesn't even use them. They still fly the ancient CH-46 and UH-1. But back to the topic at hand, I've seen miniguns on just about every variant of the -60.
