Medic Speak To Me!

This may be a silly question but when I am using the Medic kit and I toss some health bags out I am not hearing "Get first aid here". Also when I defib a teamie I don't hear "Clear, ok your live buddy..." I do hear the Defib paddles default buzz sound but no speech. I hear other medics saying it when they do the above.

Am I missing something here? Shouldn't I be hearing this? I haven't tried the Support kit yet to see if it is the same or if I hear "Get ammo here"

I've had this too, it seems strange that you hear all your radio comms but not your own voice sometimes!

Alright,

Most likely not your fix but it was for me so I will describe it for you.

I've got a set of Logitech Z640 speakers. The center channel speaker has a button on it that is labled "Matrix". When this button is switched on (Depressed) it seems to eliminate sounds that take place directly in front of you... and thus eliminated all my "voice commands". When switched off.... All sounds were normal.

I dont know why... I dont know what this button is supposed to do and I really havent looked it up.... I just keep it in the off position and my sound is fine.

Like I said, most likely not your case... but if it is... try it out.

I don't I've ever heard my own medic voice...that might just be 'how it is'.

Yeah, I never hear the medic voice or the ammo-throwing voice when I'm doing either of those two jobs.

you only ever hear your team doing it...never yourself....thats how the game was made.

Just like you never hear you shouting "GRENADE!!!", purely because you don't NEED to know. It's pretty obvious to you if you're throwing health/ammo/grenades/flashbangs.

I'll just add that I'm HAPPY I don't hear my "voice" every time I toss a medic pack or revive someone. There's already too much voice traffic on the voice channel. All actions do show up in the text chat.

I also agree that it is better to not hear yourself with all the voice clutter that is already on comm.

you hear it if your sound quality settings are on high

I actually wish you COULD hear yourself yelling "First aid here!" etc so people would know how annoying they sound spamming out first aid and ammo packs every 2 seconds. :laugh:

i was able to hear it when i had my audio settings on medium, but i turned them down to get more performence, and stop hereing them
