  • Crashes in two places.

BF2 almost immediately when I open it without even getting to the EA logo screen so I put it in windowed mode to see what was going on and got this:

    Debug assertion failed!

    Version 1.1.2554-356.0 Build date:2005-11-9 12:30
    Module: RendDX9
    File: D:\DiceCanada_Xpack_Patch\Code\BF2\RendDX9\Texture Manager.cpp
    Line: 750

    Text: Texture not found: common/textures/sine

    Current confile:

    (Cancel) (Try Again) (Continue)

All of them close the program...

When I run BF2: Special Forces it works great until I go to load a map when I get this:

    Debug assertion failed!

    Version: 1.1.2554-356.0 Build date: 2005-11-9 12:30
    Module: Geom
    File: D:\DiceCanada_Xpack_Patch\Code\BF2\Geom\BundledMes hTemplate.cpp
    Line: 269

Text: Cannot load BundledMesh Objects/weapons/handheld/nshgr_flashbang/Meshes/nshgr_flashbang.bundledMesh Please make sure it exists!

    Current confile:

    (Cancel)(Try Again)(Continue)

Once again, they all close the program.

I somehow can't help but think it's Canada's fault. Any help?

    Re: Crashes in two places.

if you havent already done this (this is the most I can help) uninstall BF2 and SF, delete all the profiles etc etc and all the folder from my Documents. Make sure the game is GONE. And uninstalled the right way. Then, reinstall Bf2, then reinstall SF, then patch with 1.12 (or 1.2 depending when you do this). And Hopefully it will work. What specs do you have?

o yes, and if that all fails also try reinstalling direct x 9.

K thx a ton for your help though I am surprised there weren't more people willing. I will try your suggestion and post back here if it works or not. BTW may I just say that EA support for BF2 and expansion is disgusting. It almost seems like they deliberately make it difficult to reach them and solve the problem.
