    Battlerecorder

I pretty much got everything down right. I can start my own server through the game and go in and type in the demo.recorddemo command and record the game play and go back and watch me and my clan mates playing. What I can't figure out is how the people who've recorded so many videos got rid of that annoying player tag. For some reason it also shows up who killed who and what with, while playing it back in battle recorder. Is there a way to turn it off.

I can also host a dedicated server perfectly fine, except I get lag as if my connection was lagging (not graphics or CPU lag) so I have to host it through the game and use the command itself to record. It just annoys me that when playing it back in battle recorder all the tags on present and the 'who killed who' is displayed up at the top. It proves to be very annoying when trying to make a video.. I tried to zoom in, in vegas enough that it wasn't displayed but turns out awful like that and you can still even see the name tags.

No one knows how to fix this? I'v seen many videos. I was hopping maybe someone would know how to not show name tags whilst using battle recorder.

use your ` key and type in renderer.drawhud 0 in game, that will get rid of the who killed who and with what messages ect. OR use view / record with battlelauncher and do it through that.

the command is renderer.drawHud 0. The down side is you can't contol your cammera properly once you've entered that. Your best bet is to record a cam fist, then use this command to get rid of the annoying text for later playback.

To simplify things, you should pickup BattleLauncher:

This is an application that will help ya launch .demos, record cams, and eventually render 'em out. You have to have the .net framework from Microsoft installed for it to work, so grab that too.

If you wanna see BR set up right, you have ta check out the R2 server.
It's the only large server I've EVER seen that has BR setup right and will let you DL files properly. As a pet project, I'm currently working on putting together a vid of battle footage taken from a particularly fun round I had there the other night.

        Good luck, 'n have fun!

I tried to reply yesterday but the site was having problems and it wouldn't go through, though looks like other R2's were on the ball, lol
