Re: Delta Force
While I wouldnt mind seeing it.. I dont think it will happen... anytime soon.
EA would need to find other units and implement them into the game. And while they exist, I dont see EA going through the process of doing itComment

Re: Delta Force
Best in what sense?like the UK army which is the best in the world.
Consider this, when the US deployed forces in Iraq, the amount of men they deployed was a greater number than the entire British army...
Or are you talking about training/technology?
When you say army do you mean the military as a whole or the physical army?
Not trying to start a flame war...Comment

Re: Delta Force
I hope one of those will be on the Allies style side for Amored fury.
As Euro Force Has a completely new army for the 'good guys' team. I would imagine that we will get some either special forces/ some hard core guys to defend the US as the MEC and PLA attack rural america.
Delta force with littlebirds and M733 commandos = heaven.Comment

Well i am not trying to feed the fire but , The Americans when taking the capital of iraq came under heavy fire , they asked the British royal marines to help them ASAP the british quickly sent there troops and helped them even they was risking there life for the americans . The British used there helicopters even though it wasnt safe and evacuated any american wounded i am trying to find the story of this right now edit it later.Comment

Re: Delta Force
God bless the allied forces.
I'd really like to see a Delta unit added into BF2 I think I'd be really fun to play as them. The skins would be good and the weapons would be different.Comment

Re: Delta Force
Gentlemen, comments like "the British army is better than the American army", "The British army came to the rescue", or are you on crack are all debateable but none have any bearing on the topic at hand. I believe Delta, Force Recon and the Green Berets will not be added as you will notice that EA tries to keep parity among the nations involved. So far we have China, MEC, Russia, rebels, Militia and the US. The boosters are adding euro forces but there are still many nations that are under-represented. Israel, France, Korea, Thailand, as well as many others have very competant special forces. Of course they don't get the same air time or practical experience because areguably the USA is one of the only powers that will use these forces proactively outside their own country. Let me remind you that you can have the very best trained and equipped fighting force in the world but unless it's been used or had a propaganda machine behind it you will not see it in a game. There is a reason why there are fictional MEC forces instead of the UK or Germany. We are dealing with a game where there is likely to be real conflict. It would be nauseating to have 14 different special forces groups all fighting the same lame mititia.
And to address the best in the world, you cannot say one way or another without specifying what role a group may be better in. I would suggest that there is a level of proficiency that cannot be improved upon. Most major powers have at least one special unit specially designed for specific encounters. You could easily rank the FBI's HRT in those groups as well as the special branches of other nations police forces when it comes to hostage rescue or straight up sniper shots. all the rest comes down to the my daddy can beat your daddy bull argument. Leave that juvenile nonsense at the door please.Comment

Re: Delta Force
SBS would be nice IMO, what with there being quite a few "water based" maps.
BTW i have no intention in being sucked into the whole "richard" sizing contest vis-a-vis my army is better than yours. I am as glad that we are such good friends of the Americans as i'm sure most Americans are glad that we Brits will always watch your back.Always.Comment
