    DSL problem

A friend of mine just bought BF2 and installed it but has a problem. Everything works fine in single player but if he tries to log in to play online the game doesn't recognize that he is online. It says offline next to his name. He has Verizon DSL internet connection. Any ideas?

Well your friend's first problems is Verizon DSL... LMAO! Make sure that the cable is connected to the tower, lol.

Yes, it's plugged in. He IS ONLINE for sure, the game just doesn't acknowledge it for some reason.

Yes, create an ONLINE profile. So, visit the Account Managment screen and create a new account.

He created an OFFLINE profile when he started playing Single Player. The OFFLINE designation refers to the type of account that was created...the game does NOT detect your online/offline status.

My friend has been out of town so I haven't been able to get with him to see if that does the trick or not. Sounds good though.
