The hind is very effective... now me personally in the apache I can kill the hind everytime, but in the hind I can kill the apache most of the time. If you hold down the mouse button you can level out an entire area with the missiles... Granted you do have to learn the hind... Its floating, and heavy so it tends to sway sideways a bit. The missiles aren't as close together so hitting tanks has to be mastered... It just takes a bit of skill really.
One can say the same thing about the cobra vs any of the other helicopters...Comment

THe prob is, the KA-50 is TOO GOOD. It has amazing manuverability. Also, it looks cool with coaxial rotors (stacked rotors). THe KA-50 would prob crush everything before it.Originally posted by RekoComment

But its a game, they can make it as manuverable or powerful as dice wants it....anyways they would never make new artwork and new coding unless its going to get them more profit...

Yeah... It is too bad they put the Hind. The game WILL NOT be balanced if it is HIND vs Apache. Why can't the developer or some of you comprehend this? Head on fight Hind will never beat Apache,period. I don't think KA 50 will be better than MI28 because Mi28 is the most advanced attack helicopter in the Russian army now.
BF2 vanilla helicopter balance I would say is pretty good. Cobra is very manoeverable while the MI28 has devastating cannon and Chinese has some of both. Too bad it is not the case in SFComment

Are u serious, if the MI-28 is the MOST advanced russian helicopter, tell me, why did Russia pick the KA-50 as their main attack helicopter eh? THe KA-50 is much better htan the MI-28, the MI-28 lost to the KA-50 and is now trying for export sucess (no sucess yet though).Originally posted by FayadiComment

The Ka-50 'Hokum' mainly won through political lobbying and back room deals, the Mi-28 is built using the experience gleaned from the operational usage of the Mi-24 series. Before the Ka-50, Kamov had a good long line of ASW helicopters but not a particularily large amount of experience with dedicated attack vehicles. The Ka-50 also has a one massive weakness, it's stacked counter-rotating blades reduce manueverability due to the risk of assembly collapse and even minor damage to the rotating mass can cause the whole thing to come apart of heaven forbid the top rotor contacts the bottom rotor.Originally posted by Eddy01741

i say they should improve the hind to compete. i personally like the hind but in order to destroy anything you have to attack from an angle or from the side. mainly because the width between the rockets is much wider then a tank nevermind an apache. it also needs to manuver sp* faster, it really proves that pigs can fly though.
