How about choosing your armor type ?

For example-

Sniper /w heavy armor BUT SEVERELY reduced sprint 70%-80%

Anti-Tank /w Low armor but SEVERELY Increased sprint 70%-80& longer

I DO like the idea of kits a la carte...

But somebody would come up with the 'ultimate build' and that's what everybody would use.

The current system works well.

Armor and sprint capabilities take no account into whatsoever when I select kits, it's all up to which kit is the most effective for the given map and situation for me because of their respective weapons alone.
