such a permanent sollution would most likely cause you to die more or at least miss whats going on arround you. A true on/off hotkey would be way more usefull. Too bad BF2 key binding sucks that hard

I want several things with this. I don't know if the UI allows for another tab within the audio tab, but this is how I prioritize them. And they are also in order of simplicity to implement. I believe some people will agree with this atleast, and I truly hope that Dice or someone at EA actually sees this.

        1. Basic radio on/off switch. Sometimes I just want to kill people without being disturbed.

        2. Unit specific on/off switch including and perhaps the most important when you don't really have a target. You know.. "enemy movement", which too often seems to target the wrong target. Maybe this kind of audio message is affected by RTT/hitboxes? I know it's highly inaccurate at longer distances. Even though you have your crosshairs on the target and red name pops up you still get "enemy movement".

        3. Threshhold bars for players. This should probably be done serverside if not already available so they cannot saturate my audible universe with gob. This should be independent of teamchat and the voipfunction so they don't affect eachother. I still want to be able to cheer on the squadmates.

And here's a crazy thought. What if the audio reporting was limited to the minimap? So that you don't get loads of radiochatter from across the map when it's not really of any interest? If you want to know about a pesky specops in your home base you just zoom out or make sure you're in the area.

"uh fellows.. we've got a real doozie of a firefight near the Backyard flag. go go go !"

please. i haven't had it turned back on in months.

That turns the volume off for the dude that says "To Enter A Vehicle Press E"

People yelling "Medic!" or anything else can not be turned off.
