LAN and Computer Boots

hi guys, need a little help. my friend and I are playing through LAN. However we can not figure out how to add computer boots. On other version of BF we had no problems, but on this one... Is it even possible at all? Do I need a patch if yes, then any ideas as to where to find it. We not yet that good to play on the net, so trying to practice by playing through lan, but it would be a great help to have computer soldies running around to kill.

Filefront.com have a BF2 section with support for bots. Small download.

You don't need a mod. To have bots in the game you need to start a singleplayer game, not a local server (this is called "co-op mode" and is not officially supported by EA). The other players join the SP game by ip address (or with a bit more work you can get it in the local game browser). It is also possible with some work to have bots on a standalone server. See the BattlefieldSingleplayer forum for more info (and bot-enabled maps).
