Mouse and Keyboard Freezing for a second every other second

Hey guys.

I just installed BF2 on my computer, and when ever I play (online or single player), all my inputs (like mouse and keyboard) will freeze for a second, then I can use them again. This happens about every two seconds or so, and it is unplayable. While it is frozen, stuff is still happining in the game, I just can't move my mouse or type.

Anyone ever had this problem or might know how to fix it?

Ive :

-Reinstalled
-Upgraded my video drivers
-Cleared my BF2 cache

Any help would be great.

What operating system do you use?

and what speed is your hard drive?

I used to get a similar problem when i installed BFV on a 5400rpm hard drive that i thought was a 7200rpm.

Windows XP.

7200 RPM HD.

Its not a performance issue, I have installed the game on this rig before when the game came out, and it ran flawlessly.

just a suggestion mabye on your options you set the mouse to or it automatically went to respond slow ?? if you have a wireless keyboard and mouse get new batteries im just trying to state the obvious lmao ya ill keep thinking and if i think of something ill tell u

Maybe some process is taking all resources every few minutes.
You can try running bf2 in a window http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12640 and at the same time check the taskmanager to see if some process uses a lot of resources.
