Has this happened to you?

I was playing SF last night and when I entered this server I was a private...I immediately switched to my BFHQ and I have my 40,000+ points..I played on the server for a while and I was a private for the 4 rounds I played on it..Then i switched to vanilla and I have my First Seargent Rank..I have played SF on other servers and never had this problem..Has anyone else had this?..Does anyone know what caused this?

Ya its happened to me a fair bit. First time i noticed was when i was on a server trying to get my tank service ribbon. I got my engineer basic badge then after a while i got the tank ribbon. :| Was a weird one really, was well ****ed though as i should have got my vet engineer combat badge too but anyway. Im not sure it actually registers the global score you get either when that happens. As far as i remember it doesnt go away until the server is reset, maybe when you reset your client :cry: :p .

Yup. This happens from time to time.

What's worse is, I don't think it tracks anything you did in you time as a private.

I suspect it's caused by a miscommunication between the master rank server and the server you are connecting to. When it happens, log off and log back in. That should fix it. Don't spend a heap of time playing with a bugged log in... you end up getting nothing for it.

Chowley..I was watching my stats and my global points were increasing as i got them...so I am pretty sure you keep the stats obtained but I am not sure how it effects ribbon, badges, metals and unlocks..I have not played SF that much at all (3 hours i think) and i have not gone for any badges yet..I am lost in these new levels and my FPS are crap..

I am prety sure it tracks it but I could be wrong..I did log out restart and came back in..same thing..Any other suggestions?

it does still count as servers will keep trying to connect to the stats servers even if they couldnt when you joined (as far as i know), more fun re-earning ranks in the mean time.

As far as i remember it kept my tank ribbon but I didnt get vet engineer at all. Im pretty sure i didnt get my global points though, it was a long round on karkand with my score over 100 so it would be a fairly obvious change.

it does track your stats when your on the server as private...i checked my stats before and after and everything was added. its just annoying when you dont get your unlocks as well.

It's happened to me as well. I got my global points but I didn't recieve the silver medal I earned in-game. I was in a ranked server as far as I know cause I always leave that checked in my filters.

Ever cross your mind that the server might not be ranked?

Even on non-ranked servers your rank shows up, even in the demo i can show my rank off (nothing to show really :cry:)

Me and mates have had this a few times. Sometimes we would start a game as a private first class without any unlocks and other times you start as PFC with weapons. We noticed that as long as you have the weapon unlocks, it will report your stats propperly.

has happened too many times to tell...

afaik, it still keeps track of kills/deaths/stats during the rounds, I dont think youre missing out on anything other than being able to use your unlocks, or command :P
