BF2 and SoundBlaster cards

I have an Audigy 2 ZS platinum card and recently noticed there was a new driver for it. I uninstalled all the other bloatware they provide and just installed the drivers. Now I am having more problems in BF2 than anytime before! The mic works fine when in teamspeak/ventrilo, recording sound, and even works when you go into the BF2 folder and do that VOIP setup thing. I get into BF2 and go to audio area and press test and it doesn't work! When I enter any server I get this loud "meeerpp" noise :laugh: :hmm: and the sound just doesn't seem right. I have disabled EAX and reinstalled the drivers to no avail!

Anyone else having the same problems? I know there are MANY people complaining about creatives cards and BF2 at their website. So many you can't really even sort through them all without going nuts!

Never had that problem myself, but have you tried going back to the older driver. When it comes to sound cards, I always just stick with whats working.

Well, the ones I was using were working fine for about a year. Then the problems started. So I dled the new drivers and the other problems don't seem to be there, but it's brough up even more probelms.

I've just installed the new drivers & I'm getting a stutter in game. I've got the Dell version so replacing the drivers is a pain.

FYI - Just took the new drivers off & put the old beta drivers back on & everything is fine again.
