  • windows xp memory

Ok so here it goes, ive just reinstalled windows xp, and the memory usage at idle is 85mbs, and as soon as i install the omega 6.1's the memory usage is all the way up to 140 idle, with all processes shut down, that can be. this is getting quite frustrating as my freinds computer idles at 110 with the same drivers, and he has a ton of spyware. someone hel me out.:hmm:

      Re: windows xp memory

You have gig or more RAM? And your friend has under 1 gig ram, right?
There's no problem. Windows uses more free RAM so it can operate faster. If you need RAM for something else, windows will free it up. Don't worry, it's all normal. 6.1 drivers are a little bit crippeled and they use a tad too much memory. No problem, it'll be free same way as windows frees that RAM.
