Is this badly seen ?

This is a tactic that one of my good friend told me about...
Said its REALLY FUN !

I havent tried it yet but maybe later on...

Lets say you are in the transport chopper as passager or alone.

With engeneir kit, go to the back and drop all kinds of mines while being over ennemy base

Its better when your alone, you just jump in the back and the chopper will do circles over the location while you drop mines everywere...

I have seen people complain in other threads about similar things... but then again... people LOVE to complain about anything like a bunch a freaking babies..

I admit I will complain... but only for bunny's and daulphins (witch will be resolved soon :))

Personally, I see nothing wrong with it, its like having a VERY slow bomber thats easier to shoot down...

any opinions about the transport mine dropping helo's ?

don't worry one of your jackass teammates will most likely run over one of those mines, or even better, after the patch, the enemy engy will just pick em up

If you don't have a support guy in there with you you're gonna be dropping mines for about 5 seconds.

If you're hovering over an airstrip with no pilot to release flares chances are you're gonna be blown up with AA or by an enemy jet.

All enemies have to do is throw a nade and the mine blows up.

Seems pretty pointless. Doesn't seem fun, either.

I say it's a good tactic. Yes, they are destroyable in the next patch, but there are so many mindless players out there that don't look at what they're about to drive over.

Those are good arguments...
However as he was playing on my pc, I have seen him get a couple of kills like that...

I've got rid of enemy mines by using my wrench on them. I know they were enemy cos they had no red sign above them. No need to wait for the patch to do that!

The way I understood it, they would be like mines of old, and not be able to be blown up, but enemy engineers can already remove them, so, eh.

In an 8v8 match we had 2 guys fly the Chinese Transport helo to the US main, 1 engy, 1 specops. On the way there they dropped mines on the northern road, in which the opponent promptly drove an APC over, killing 3 of them. They completed their task by ganking the BH, which we had for the majority of the round and finished off a nice 2-0 win :)

Theres a place for almost every tactic, tis a shame they blow up now, but mines can be put to good use.....

only 5 mines, the chance of hitting something are low, verry low, unless you throuw it exactly on the spawns.

Could you kill a man by throuwing a mine on his head from 100 feet in the air? would be cool :-)
