SF Noob Unlock Question

I searched before posting so PLEASE do not flame me. I am working towards gunnery sgt. and I just bought SF tonight. I played a while and I REALLY like the F2000 but I do not have the G3 unlocked. IF I was to use my 2 SF unlocks to unlock the G3 and the F2000 , then when I hit gun sgt can I unlock 2 SF guns? What I want is to have 5 vanilla guns unlocked and 3 SF guns unlocked when I hit gunnery sgt, but use one of my Sf unlocks on vanilla and then my vanilla unlock on a SF gun when I get the next rank. I hope that's not too confusing. Thanks for the help.

i think you get the two unlocks (for your previous ranks) and then one for your rank up. but i have no idea.

Yeah, I have the 2 unlocks for my previous rank-ups, and I will get one vanilla and one SF unlock for my next rank. I want to use my 2 previous to get one vanilla gun and then 1 SF gun and my next 2 unlocks both on SF guns. Maybe this should be in the SF forum instead...
