Yes you get that in many pb games (IE: AAO) it means you need to update your Punk Buster. I suggest to do it manually. Go to there site and dl the PBweb and do it manually.

Bah PBweb is so old skool now. PBsetup.exe is what you need.

Direct link: http://websec.evenbalance.com/downlo...ws/pbsetup.exe (right click save target as) Check it regularly for updates, not that there has been an update for ages though.

Punksbusted is not PB, www.evenbalance.com is the people who make PB.

EDIT: I just checked for a PB update and there is a new version of PB out so I suggest anyone who hasn't updated it using PBsetup.exe to do so now before they play online.

Well I just updated PB using the "NEW AND IMPROVED" method and guess what........Same fkn problem....either an Authentication error or a key packet loss error.

                    Re: PunkBuster question

                    Then try the old method:

DL this file to your pb subdirectory of Battlefield 2 and run it.

If THAT doesn't work, disable any and all firewalls, antivirus, or internet security programs...then check your connection and make sure it is actually ok by doing traceroutes or using tools from www.DSLReports.com

                      Re: PunkBuster question

pbweb.exe for bf2 is no longer suported, so it wont work...

                        It works.

                        I use it every day.

Do you think I'd post it if it didn't work?
