Account log in kicks second computer

Hi all; I've searched this site as well as many other BF2 forums for this issue.
I have a home network set up using a Ugate 3200p router/firewall. Both my roommate and I have our own copies of BF2 and I also have the SF pack.
When one of us is already playing online and the person logs into the account server at the game launch; the person who is playing gets a "problem with connection error" and is booted out of the server there playing in. We are not booted out of the game ..just the server were in. We can immiediatly reconnect to the server we were in or any other server..reload the map etc and start playing. We even keep our score if we get back in to the server and the match we were playing in is still running.
I do not think this is a hardware issue but it seems to be a log in issue with iether punkbuster or ..????
Does anyone else experience this? Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
    It's just damn annoying!!

It could be the router. I am not a router expert but I do know from experience that many games including counter strike have router problems. I have never heard of being able to join right back again, but it seems to me a router problem. how to fix it? I dont know, someone else will have to help with that. sorry

I'll try and find that post.
It could be the router. I'm going to borrow my buddies spare and try it out.
I just don't understand how it is only an issue when one person is in a game and the other person logs into there own account. Both pc's have a seperate ip address assigned by the router, but share the routers "external" ip. once we are both logged in we can even play on the same server.
The Ugate 3200p router is not capable of forwarding the amount of ports required by bf2. Even if it was, I'd be at a loss as to how to forward the ports due to both pc's requiring the same ports. If I knew what port or ports the game used when logging into the account server, I might be able to create a rule to assign different ports to each internal ip address for this purpose.
I appreciate all your thoughts on this
