Yeah it's weird. It often happens to me in close range battle. When I take some steps back my weapon acts normal again. Server related me thinks.

I've been playing since BF42 came out. I have every game, every EXP pack. And I too have seen this hack. :laugh:

Some how these hacksys' make it so that when I overload my computer's "INPUT" pipe, the input devices stop! What a h4xor! How do they do it?!1?/!?

Seriously guys, your pressing way to much at once. I know that If i could I could be hitting 8 keys at once plus all 7 mouse buttons I have. Current 32 bits (I think) can only have so many "inputs" at once, hence you stop firing. You may not notice it your self, but when you see this "Hack", Freeze what your doing and look at what your hitting. 5+ buttons and your Board' and micy are notgoing to do anything and your machine may (usually name brands beep liek this, such as HP, Dell, Compaq, etc..) beep warning of input overload.

Happened to me before. Go to shoot someone and nothing happens - but also happened in other games and even internet explorer. Problem - After 2 years of using a microsoft intelliexplorer laser mouse the left click button is slowly going through its death rattles. Solution - Trashed microsoft mouse and bought a logitech G5 gaming mouse.
