Hello all. I just wanted to bring out the word of bf2statistics.

Q: What is bf2statistics?

A: This new system includes unlocks/awards/ranks/. It is all viewable in BFHQ and/or a webpage, just like in normal BF2 when playing on ranked servers. It works with MP/SP/Co-op, with or without internet connection (for your LAN parties).

We will announce the release of bf2statistics in just a matter of time, we just need to be sure everything is ready for public release, to avoid too much questions.

Q: Is this a server pr. server stat system... (ie. clans own stats for thier server only Like VSP for CSS and CoD2 or Psycho stats for CS)... or is it a global system... (Ie. is there going to be some central stat server to send the info to)

You could say it's both... 1 per server database and centralized... Also on LAN.

You could also gather like 5 server's to one db... It is all up to you!

Oooh almost forgot to say... Includes ingame awards too!!

The difference with ABR, is that you cannot use that on LAN.

Not only does it stand for something inappropriate, FUBAR is pretty close to UBAR which is www.bf2s.com Unnofficial Battlefield Awards and Ranks. I'd be careful, Jeff Minard is pretty protective of his stuff.

Is the award system adminable?
Is it easy to play with requirments for awards?

I did too!
I have now renamed all of our scripts lol....

As for mod's, the only mod we have tested this with is SF, but i'm shure with some modification's, it will be no problem. That will depend on the mod.

The server owner can do what ever he want's to customize the requirements for ranks/unlocks/awards etc... You would need some python knowledge tho...

Just want to write down what this system is all about...

you will be able to host your own stats database + it will also posted to a centralized one (not for coop server's)
That would say, you do not have to depend on others eg EA/ABR...
You can have this on a LAN, with or without internet...
Anyways, we did this for the community, to be able to run custom maps,
mod's and all those things EA didnt do.
Even tho you have to start all over again, it will be all worth it!
