I was thinking the top three players in the rankings? In 340 hours of play I've been in the top three, 353 times.

Been a long time since I've played on a server where you could take a gold for that low a score.

I once got a gold on Karkand with 0 points. It was on one of the EA servers and we were just waiting for enough people to join (32 player map) for the round to start. Finally the 11th person joined, we all spawned, and as I (USMC) am running down the hill toward the hotel, all of a sudden the message comes up that USMC has won the round 215-200 because someone disconnected causing the round to end immediately. When the medal screen came up, for some reason it had me as the gold winner even though nobody scored any points that round. Funky, no? Cheapest gold I ever got for sure, but I'll take it!

Never thought about it, It would be degrading to not make it up there. I mean, when maps are over, I look down, and I see guys with like 3 kills and 19 deaths, and I just dont get how people can do that.

I am ALWAYS happy when I make it into the top 3.

There are too many stuck-up elitists around here that try and make everybody else feel like they suck when they don't whore a jet or a tank and make it in the top 3.

It's a game.

For the record, it is a lot harder to get in the top 3 if you're playing solely as infantry and being a team player on top of that.

Hey Sarb, here's a tip to get a gold medal: Play as a medic and revive as many teammates you can when they are down, also throw down Med. Packs to heal your team when needed, also capture as many control points(flags) as possible in the process.

Or play a ton of commander. If your team wins you are pretty much guaranteed a top 3 finish

i dont think it registered in ur stats though.. it happened to me a couple of times too.
