but i asure you the second video is actually not a laser but an Infared Candle(Flashlight). You even hear the guy the guy say we got an IR spotlight.Picture of IR Spotlight .Basically is a light that can only be seen by an IR camera.

A spotlight has a big cone of light, as to be able to spot something. Opposed to that, the "light" in the vid is a very narrow beam, so we´re dealing with an IR laser here. Nowadays they´re commonly used on guns in conjunction with image intensifiers, to give the user an "red dot" like aiming help, without visible cues for an enemy not using image intensifiers.

An example ist the AN/PEQ-2:

The AN/PEQ-2 Infrared Target Pointer/Illuminator/Aiming Laser has a straight beam of IR energy for aiming, and an adjustable focus IR beam for illuminating. Both sources can be used at the same time. It is powered by 2 "AA" batteries that give it continuous power for 10 hours. The PEQ-2 weighs 7.5 ounces, is 6.4" long, 2.8" wide, and 1.2" high. It is waterproof to 66’.
