What the HELL is UP with THE PATCH

Man this is driving me crazy there has been no new info, we get two straight weeks of vids and info but for the last week and a half nothing. And people say its delayed with the booster pack but no one has solid proof. EA has also not released any information on this. There has been only two statements. One from that EA Uk mod saying that the booster is delayed till when has not be spoken of also he doesnt speak of the patch.

Then Someone brings a dutch site saying that both booster and patch are delayed till the 14th. honestly i dont trust the dutch! lol But just one site saying that and no official word from EA. Not even mulitple gaming sites are saying that. So what the hell is up, is out next week or what. I need it for the new air defense and the fixes for sniper and AT. Sniper is good but i could use the explosive pick up for my claymores real bad. And AT holy **** that class needs a major makeover fix.

So, the official threads on the EA UK forum states that there are no setbacks.

The longer it take for them to bring out the patch the better. If they delay the patch then they are obviously fixing something they overlooked or fixing something that came up in beta testing.

Impatient people should learn to just shut up if it wasn't for people being so impatient for BF2 to come out in the first place a lot more bugs would have already been fixed.

I couldn't agree more. If they have a REASON for delaying the patch such as wanting to include server-side fixes? Well, I'm all for it!

I can't believe how long it takes to get a patch either. I realise that a bad patch is worse then no patch at all, but I think the problem is that they want to do everything in one big patch.

I would rather a series of smaller patches. If the air power nerfs need more balance and testing for example, I understand, but if they are finished with the GL and bunnyhopping/dolphin divers part of the patch, release it in a smaller patch while you're working on the other stuff. Releasing the fixes in phases, instead of one huge patch would be better.

True Let them take their time, the problems the game has are fine. It is still palyable and the patch will only make it better. Let them get it right NOW, and not have to hope for the next patch later.

Thats not that point, im asking what is with it, is it official delayed and if so where is the source. The one EA UK mod said the booster will be delayed and the dutch site says both patch and booster are delayed. Where is the true official statement the patch is delayed? EA has not commented on this with all the threads out including mine. Thats what i want too know.

I bet they have 2 guys working on the patch, and the rest on the Euro forces addon.

EA does'nt believe in free. If its not going to make them money, well, they are'nt going to put much effort into it.

You guys should have bought Nascar sim racing. They promised a patch for months and it never came, never...

Our poor beloved tribes series was murdered in cold blood by Irrational Games... DAM YOU BASTERDS! You took a great game and franchise and destroyed it.. Now im left with a copy of a game with no Support , more bugs than you can poke a stick at... god dam it.

Funny tho, i re-installed it lastnite and went n played online dam it was fun.. bugs in all :P

Now if only someone would do a mod for BF2 that was based on Tribes.

But to the point of my post... Id rather wait a week for extra fixes and still get a good patch than have it early and its buggered. I hate downloading 300mb at a time. Yeh got adsl... but still.. i can think of better things to do with that time.

Well, with a hit like BF2, I'd hope they'd continue support for a while yet.

If a game neither sells well nor has potential for future sales, unfortunately support does get discontinued

This should not be the case with BF2.

Which means it should be out sometime next year, given their previous track record for BF2 patches.

Because tribe vengeance was close to HL&#178; release, VUG promot a lot HL&#178;. I think slighly more buzz would have help a little Tribe:v to be know.
