OK my gamespy ID and bf2 login name and password are the same or no??? After reinstalling BF2 why cant I reactivate my old account?????

Retrive your account, by using email or nickname.

OK, so the gamespy account is the same thing as the loggin to account server in bf2? cause when I change my name or password in gamespyid it dosent seem to change anything.

Were you able to use the 'Retrieve Account' button in the 'Account Management' screen of BF2?

If so, you should be able to use the same login there as you can at www.gamespyid.com

Yes. Thats what i thought. I tried to do it by email just in case i fuked up on the username/password. I would love to get my old account back. This is my 3rd time starting over man...

OK I used the retrieve account and I know I enter ths right info cause it dosent tell me wrong pass/user name but it seems to get stuck on the conneting to account server or whatever and after 10 mins i just restart the dam thing. Gonna go back to gamespyid and see what i can do there.

Ok..if you can log in to gamespyid.com and the username and password you used to use to log in to BF2, then your BF2 account is probably fine.

It is likely that there is something preventing BF2 from accessing the Gamespy server.

So...disable any anti-virus software or software firewalls you have running.

I'm behind a router and thats it. Yes i can loggin to gamsspyid using the account i want to use but it get stuck in the connection process. I dont run antivirus either. But I think your right. Any thing I should disable?????

Go to Task Manager (control-alt-delete) and end any process that isn't listed under SYSTEM or NETWORK SERVICE.

Also, make sure you perform a spyware scan if you havent' already.
