kill credit glitch?

alright, so im on this 64player map 24/7 karkand server with less than 10 ppl...just having fun with c4 and such.

the USMC was just whoring around in APCs, no big deal, i just ramed transports full of C4 into them.

anyways, im attemtping to take out an APC with one of those ground anti tank launcher things (TOWs i think?) i send 1 shot, but then i get killed. as im laying there dead i see one of my fellows jump on the launcher and fire another shot, finishing off the APC.

thing is, i got credit for the kill, even tho my team mate landed the final blow. is there some reasoning behind this?

Perhaps the APC was on fire when you last shot it and your teammates hit the APC wreckage? That or it's a different glitch where blown up vehicles appear as fresh vehicles and your teammates blew that up.

The vehicle was burning and you got the kill when he died.
