it worked for me... no hitching, no spikes, no stutter...

although I updated it from scratch, not using the previous updates.

BF2 fresh install (pb version 1.0) --> used pbsetup.exe --> updated directly to 1.227

I had massive performance loss (just look at the other threads, im bitching about being capped at 20-30 fps). Now its smooth as silk again.
