when i try and play one of the new maps it loads and then kicks me to windows. does anyone else have this problem? how can i fix it?

you need to have your video settings set to medium or maybe high. what kind of computer do you have?

everytime i log on to play there are only about 2 or 3 total people playing.....including me.

Same exact thing happens to me, even in sp.

Nforce4 Pro-SLI Mobo
1 gig of corasir ram
Geforce 6800
AMD 3200+

Oh, IIRC, you cannot play addon-maps in SP. It will result in exactly that; a crash.

Ok. I just tried the map in single player and thought if it doesn't work here why would it work online. Do you have the IP for any severs hosting the maps?
