Can someone explain the support class for me?

I havent played for that long maybe 2 months and i try to play most classes, the spec is the favorit. But can someone explain to me how to play as a support..

I just cant play as one..

To me they have bad acc, bad rate of fire and no tank-busting thingys.
They do quite much dmg (dosent really matter unless you miss 75% of the shots) and they can support others with ammo (but so does crates and if you have a good commander crates will be around you)

I really just know what they are good for.. i have played loads of fps games so i know how to burst and use semi-shots, and my aim aint that bad.

So please can anyone tell me how to master the support-class..

well, the normal weapon isn't that good (i would like to use a more "aggresive" term but hell) but the unlocks 'PKM' and 'MG63' are verry good. Fire in burst and lie down on the ground, zoomed in.

uhh...try to use 3 or 2 fire bursts and ONLY shoot prone. get used to diving and going into prone and shooting at people. also only use the iron sights.

as far as ammo bags, just throw them into spots where people dont have to think "oh i need ammo... where the hell is it" like openings in fences (suchs as on karkand, heading towards the hotel etc) and just generally high population areas.

I no you will hat me saying this but it is great for camping an alley way. Allthough i dont do it often it is really usefull. Also what the other guy said, throw ammo bags like crazy in the areas where your team is certain to run over.
Also i dont find them effective on open maps, only urban ones.
        hope it helps!

Yeah pretty much stick to urban maps. You're not of much use when you're fighting in a wide open map like kubra dam.
Also, stay prone like the other guy said. Firing while standing is almost useless unless your target is 3 inches away from you. Plus you're harder to hit in prone most of the time.
All the weapons are good though, just depends on what you like - weapons like m249 have a nice rate of fire, but the PKM has some huge damage but a much slower rate of fire. Depends on what you like.

            Ok here are the basics.

            1. Shoot the enemy support guy until he dies.
            2. Take his kit, and reward yourself and surrounding teammates with ammo for few extra points
            3. Switch back to your previous kit OR die soon.

you just have to know how to play as one. Support is one of the harder kits to master because most people think that spraying and praying will work...sorry...it doesnt lol. Sometimes yes...at point blank range...but otherwise...no. the support gun is not meant to be accurate (we'll see how much they increase it with the next patch) because they learned from their mistake in bf:V....where if you played as the m60 guy, you quite literally were rambo. Nice machine gun with high rate of fire and accuracy, Law launcher for tanks, etc. In this game, support is meant to keep the enemies heads down while the rest of the team flanks them...or something of that nature. Just remember if you play as support, you have infinite ammo...so that means infinite grenades...so that technically is your tank support...lol...just hope they are stupid and stay in one place

Don't play support. Get an unlock, and unlock the PKM. Then play support. The PKM has a very nice accuracy range for a support weapon, plus it is extremely deadly.

The unlocks as mentioned above are a great help, especially the MG36.
Prone is the way to go, except in close combat situations : Get as close as possible and go full auto. You must always try to flank your enemy ,for example, in sharqi position yourself at the hill near the construction site where you can spot the whole street. The enemy runs straight toward the flag up the hill, expecting incoming enemys from above. They will notice you when it's already too late. But to actually hit your targets only experience will help you.
It takes some time to get used to it,but after some hours of playing support you will be able to win shootouts even at far distance. But if you really have problems playing support after hours of playing wait until the next patch, the class will become even more deadly and it will be more accessible to newcomers.

I hardly ever use the PKM. I know its damage is HIGH, but the accuracy is MEDIUM. Ive found that using the SAW can be better cause the accuracy is MEDIUM/HIGH and the damage is MEDIUM/HIGH. So it balances out in my view. As for the RPK74 take that over PKM because it has the same damage as pkm and has higher accuracy.

Re: Can someone explain the support class for me?

For me, the MG36 is a G36K with a double barrelled 100 bullet capacity clip and a bipod. I was sniping with it earlier (just don't expect to beat a G36 in a sniping battle )

The PKM unlock is best for urban areas, although it overheats too quickly in a crowded alleyway.

If you play on SF the support class has tear gas which can help you and your squad very effectively. Fire a gas grenade down a hallway and run like stink with your gas mask on.

Ammo bags get you one point every time they are picked up. Everything from a pistol clip to all 40 turret rounds in a tank can be replenished with a single ammo bag.

If you are in a squad, stay at the back (like you have any choice...) and provide suppressing fire whilst giving ammo to your team mates. This will award you with ALOT of points, providing the rest of your squad realise what you're doing.

When going one-on-one with an enemy who is not a support guy you will always die unless you go prone. If you do, it's fairly easy to kill them as they bunny hop.

The only main problem I ever encounter with the support kit now after 1.12 is the time it takes for the gun to activate once you've selected it. Otherwise, it's a well balanced kit for me. Both in a squad and as a lone wolf.

ya, i dont facny support either. i tried my hardest to get my basic support badge....couldnt do it, always got like 9 kills and the round ends. well, i did get it actually, from playing on sharqi, got with a squad and we invaded into the tv station. instead of taking it, we kinda camped it inside on the stairs. was able to take down the guys as they came out of the rooms from spawning, cheap tactic i guess, but damnit i wanted that badge.

You have to be tricky playing support. Always try to get into a position where the enemy would expect you at least. i managed to get 40+ kills with support,
you just have to bite through. you will get owned very often when you start sticking with support, but after you gained some experience with the kit you will definetely turn the table. Suport requires teamwork, but not only on your team. When the enemy is advancing in squads you will become even more deadly, nothing as satisfiing as whiping out whole squads with your machine gun...

Bursting with the LMG doesn't really help because the maximum deviation added per shot is reached after three shots; you're better off just going full-auto. The LMG isn't really all that bad, but you are at a disadvantage against prone riflemen. The best way to use the LMG is go prone near a high-traffic area (hopefully with some teammates so you're not taking all the flak), and just unleash hell on the enemies that try and advance. And the bullets that the LMGs fire move literally half as fast as the ones from rifles do, so leading your target is especially important. And even though the LMG is inaccurate, that's no reason not to keep the ironsight right on top of your target; it does make a difference.
