strange invalid cd key ?

I have two machines networked together , (not through router) , both machines have bf2 with patch's installed on them (2 x discs original copies) . Me and my bro can play online on different servers no problems , but when we try and join the same server we get the invalid cd key , anyone have any ideas on ?

blame punkbuster for their latest update... this is being discussed all over the place.

In a nutshell -> invalid cdkeys, BSOD, increased ping, MAJOR fps drop. I fall under several of those categorys unfortunately.

Man..sometimes I just HATE punkbuster...I guess that would explain why I have been getting some decreased performance lately.

Ah... not just me then...
I've been un-installing, re-installing and checking regedit keys most of today wondering why It's telling me my "cd-key is invalid" when it's on the back of the manual! :shakehead :wall:

same here palerider, but i've resisted the urge to reinstall, just waiting for a pb update to hopefully sort out problem! loadsa thread re this issue.
