    Tickets

'Scuse the ignorrence (did a search to no avail), but exactly how do tickets work? How do you slow the loss, lose in general, ect ect. You cannot gain them correct?

After playing BF2 for so long, I've never bothered looking into this.

    Re: Tickets

    Depends on the map type.

Someone (Talus? Wargimp?) just "reexplained" it, like only yesterday. Do a search for "bleed ticket" and you may get lucky.

      Re: Tickets

      1 death = 1 ticket.
getting revived = no ticket loss

Ticket drain/bleed is when you have no flags or more than half.

Example: On Karkand if USMC has no flags they are on drain. If they cap a flag drain stops. If they take all flags MEC goes on drain.

Example 2: Dalian plant 16 man. Take 2 flags and neither team is on drain. Take 3 flags and the opposing team is on drain.

Ticket drain is different for each map. It may be 1 ticket per 6 seconds or maybe 1 ticket per 8 seconds. Dunno really.

          Re: Tickets

Here are more details (some of it already mentioned above, but I am saying them again for the sake of completeness)

Here is how ticket bleeding is calculated:
In all maps if you get killed your team will lose a ticket once you spawn. However, they will not lose that ticket if you get revived. They will lose it immediately if you cannot be revived (like getting killed with a direct artillery hit or your vehicle explodes).

In the following maps: Mashtuur, Daqing, Dalian, Kubra, Songhua, Zatar

The team which controls more than half of the Control Points will cause the other team to lose 10 tickets/minute

In Gulf Of Oman your opponent will lose 7 tickets/minute if you control more than half of the CPs. The 32 size map has five control points that can be captured and the USMC starts with more points, so the MEC will start bleeding right from the start of the game. However, the MEC starts with 220 tickets and the USMC starts with 200 tickets (20 less).

In the following maps: Clean Sweep, Karkand, Wake, Sharqi

If the attacking force captures at least one CP they will stop bleeding tickets (unless someone gets killed and spawns).
If the attacking force does not capture any CP they will lose 6 tickets/minute
If the defending force loses all CPs they will lose 12 tickets/minute
The defending force does not lose any ticket (unless someone gets killed) if they hold at least one CP.
Basically in these maps if the attacking force captures at least one CP and the defending force holds at least one CP, ticket bleeding will stop for both teams and the game becomes a death match: if you kill more you will win.
