Best AGP card?

I'm building a new system from the ground up in a few months (Athlon 64 3700+, 7800GT, PCI-E mobo, etc.), but in the meantime, I need to upgrade my video card. I'm currently running an MSI Nvidia 6600 256mb. It runs BF2 smoothly on medium settings at 1024x768, but I'm looking for something that can do better. Is there an AGP card that can run this game at high settings? Money isn't an issue. I'm just impatient and don't want to wait till I put together my new rig... Any suggestions?

If I may ask why the hell would you but a new card for a system you are going to replace in a couple of months? its not like your going to look at the scenery when killing people on BF2.

Unless of course your made of money then just get the most expensive AGP card you can find.

The computer will still be in my house and will still be running BF2 after I build my new system. I was looking at the BFG 6800GS. Is it worth the extra money for a 6800GT, or will an oc'ed 6800GS do almost as well?

Ummmm ok then the 7800 since they have Agp models . But i still love my X850XTagp :rock:

lol ati, thats funny.

Go with the 6800 ultra if u are inpatient and try to OC it a bit, but dont over do it.

i say just wait a few months. Im building a new computer in a couple weeks and for months now i wanted better than medium/low graphics but ive been patient its worth the wait.

If I wasn't keeping the computer, I wouldn't bother. But like I said before, it'll still be in the house and will still be used A LOT. It's plenty quick, so I don't have any problems upgrading it to keep it around a bit longer. I can't bring myself to buy another ATI card. I've been with NVIDIA since I bought a 5900XT a few years ago and haven't looked back. NVIDIA cards are the only option for me. The 7800GS looks attractive, but how much will it outperform a 6800GT OC or a 6800 Ultra? Is it going to be worth the extra money?
