my X700 is a temramental little bugger. Aftert upgrading the RAM from 1x 512mb too 1x 1024mb, the game hates me too the extent that i cant play it (massive frame rate drop). I cant figure out teh problem, ive tryed older vid drivers, upated drivers, deleted cachere-install & formatt, defragging the hdd's, everything. So no, your not alone in your problems

I installed the driver that came with the card, and then installed the latest catalyst drivers
