bf2 has problem! couldn't start it.

I could play it before I do any patching, means only play 1.00 version. But after I patch 1.12, BF2 can't start any more.
It shows black screen for 3, 4 seconds and then go back to desktop again.
someone said it's because of the driver. my old one was 78.11 and I tried the newest one 82.10, it's not working.

Anybody know what's happening here? and what's the solution?

My laptop videocard is geforce 6800 256 mb, 2G ram.

If you haven't changed any screen or video options..strange.
You could try to remove(backup up first) your account and profile folder: my documents/battlefield2. (or only remove your video settings, not tried myself)
If this works you'll need to setup all your controls again. And new account settings will be placed in that folder.

If not. Suggest to reinstall to whole program and patch it again.
Try to find some simmilair problems on the forums, you are propably not the only one !

I tried to reinstall it a couple of times, just always this old ****!
I checked the link you gave, but the way didn't work for me!
