    Unlocks in SF

So, do you people use the Vanilla unlocks in SF? If so, why?

Personally, I tend not to; mainly because half the unlocks are total **** (read: l85a1, G3, m95, g36c)

I dont also because I feel it sorta detracts from the theme of a match. If you are MEC:SF assaulting a carrier, can the public really expect them to run in there armed with british, german and american rifles? You'd kinda expect them to have debunked soviet tech.

Therefore, I use DAO-12 (which is Israeli, i think, tell me otherwise plz im too lazy to google) and PKM (definitely russian, i know this one for a fact).

I dont use unlocks for reasons of increased power, afterall this game is balanced in terms of weapons, so choosing an unlock JUST because its an unlock doesnt actually change much. Sure DAO-12 can make all the difference up close, but its not like i ever had trouble with the pp-19 or anything.

Urm the unlocks you listed aren't crap, maybe your just a really really bad aim, M95 can kill in one hit, G36, L85 are stupidly accurate and the G3 is just uber.

I use the M95, the G3, the PKM, the L85 and the DAO on the SF maps.

As far as vanilla unlocks go, I enjoy them all over the standard weapons, save for the s80, due to its inaccuracy in full auto fire (but hey with 1.2 coming up this may change)

My personal favorite is the M95, as it is a much more satisfying gun than the M24, and ignores armor, letting you kill the assault/support/antitank guy who fell and lost 2 bars, aswell as pierces armored glass. As far as accuracy goes, there is little to no difference, and it pretty much comes down to the thicker crosshair, and the larger bullet drop.

At long range the S80 is pretty damn accurate and you shouldn't of course use full auto. Only at close range :)
The M24 is remarkably more accurate than the M95. It's just that. And the M95 just has gives a bigger punch in your enemy's face :).
As for the bulletdrop, well, that's almost neglectable if you're making a shot under 160m, and above that, there's a rather big standard chance of missing (big deviaton =/)

PKM and Jackhammer own on the city maps, especially in close quarter fighting on warlord in the palace.
