We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
I hate to post up something that has been mentioned before, but the search feature is screwy. Does anyone know if the new patch/boosters will give you more unlocks? I've had one free one and I've been saving it for a long time, I'd really like to unlock the MG36 but I want to mess with the upcoming sniper and AT unlocks when they do come out. I'm pretty sure I want the P90 for sure.
I suspect that the new unlocks (the P90 and sniper whatever) will be free to those above Sargeant after the patch.
Just like they did with SF. Anyone who has a rank higher than needed will get free unlocks. What makes me think you'll get these 2 for free is that you didn't get any unlocks for SF when you attained the lowest 2 unlock ranks.
In other words, go ahead and unlock that MG36.
You'll still be able to get the new AT and sniper toys when the patch comes out.
I also agree with Wargimp. They'll be available to everyone (or at least one of them) to everyone above a certain rank and as long as you have already bought or played SF.
yea P90 for AT should be good, their gonna improve accuracy of the support kit, I heard, I got the MG36, should be better if they improve accuracy so you can use it for real suppression atm its more like spam.
Actually I'm not too sure about the P90. My entire style of play is based around the DAO-12 and I think I'll miss the close-combat action and the ability to take down 3 enemies with one reload (and a little luck).
Actually my aim is crap and people kill me ALL the time and the AT shotgun evens it up a little for me. Running around with a P90 isn't something I'm a 100% looking forward too...
I agree ptegan, the DAO suits my style of play with the AT kit - which is dealing with vehicles and infantry long range with the AT missile and pistol and capping/defending flags close range with the shotgun.
I find there's nothing more satisfying than getting shotgun kills and when you can use the DAO to effectively take down 2-3 close range enemies round a flag, and it's difficult to see where the new P90 will improve on this? It may offer some medium range ability, which is one area where the AT kit struggles, but then the improvement to the smgs in 1.2 might already cover this.
Regards the original post, I too would like to know whether the patch and or booster pack will bring an associated free unlock to those with the Special Forces expansion.
At the moment I've got two unlocks still available from recently being promoted to First Sergeant and I'm hesitant to use them until the new unlocks become available. If we knew that we'd be getting a free unlock with the patch or the booster pack then I'd just use the unlocks now. At the same time I'm also concerned that if I keep them I might lose them during the patching process.
So those of us at Corporal and above will get two free unlocks upon purchasing the booster?
Just clarifying here.
No. They are telling you that they are "guessing" that the PATCH--not the BOOSTER--will give two additional unlocks to anyone above Sergeant. All we really know is that these unlocks will be available to SF owners. You can check out the first interview with Marini for clarification.
Short version:
Booster-->NO unlocks for vBF2 (these weapons will be standard in Euroforce)
Patch-->Two new unlocks in vBF2 for SF owners, don't know what ranks will be required.
