I know this is going to sound really dumb, but hear me out. If your tank gets blown up by a dune buggy...and you were on some kind of killing rampage. How are you going to feel? I'm either going to get really mad and start playing recklessly, or I'm just gonna up and quit.

Psychology factor guys! I know it sounds cheesy but if you do this stuff, it's going to get the enemy mad and their going to do what 90% of most players do when they're losing and it's embarrasing. They will play like crap. Sure, the Jihad Jeep is cheap...that's agreed. But I think the concept holds a lot more weight than the loss of points.

I for one never read those long messages so whatever you said I didn't read it.

I hate jihad jeeps when they blow themselves up but if the driver gets out and can safely back away without killing himself then that's OK with me. I try to do it myself when possible. It's the suiciders I hate.

Sometimes its the only way to take out armor.
I try to not die. Usually only put two C4 packs on the buggy so I can save the rest. I travel around with my Jihad Jeep ready just in case. Im not really a suicidal Jihadist and I feel like the Fonze when I blow up the enemy.

Last night I had my jeep loaded with two packs of C4 on Wake Island. There were some enemy straglers around so I got out to help my team find them. As we finished a teamate named CrashZero... stole the jeep right in front of me. It was obvious the jeep was mine because I was about to get in. He didn't even offer a ride. I wasn't angry though and attempted to use the Comm rose to say "Hey, I need a ride!" Unfortunately I had the detonator in my hand and set off the C4. :laugh: I felt pretty bad and was about to type sorry but got punished. "Don't Punish, It was an accident" I said as I approached the next flag when all of a sudden BLAM BLAM BLAM!!! TEAMKILLED! Now I was getting mad, "It was an accident Noob, don't punish." Crash said "It wasn't an accident, you killed me cause I took your jeep." "A-C-C-I-D-E-N-T. There, I spelled it for you, noob. The Comm Rose glitched and I accidentaly set off the C4." "Well use your head next time." "Admit you were wrong noob." "Don't call me a noob!" "NOob, noOB, NOOB!" And I got teamkilled the next time Crash saw me. "Noob."

Here's the condensed version.

Take C4, put on front of fast vehicle.
Drive toward enemy tank.
Avoid tank shells and MG fire.
Jump out.
Press detonator.

So...in reality what you are saying is, this tactic annoys the hell out of you and calling someone an amateur is how you will respond.... :nerr: :laugh2:

Negative punchy - I rarely get killed by Jihad jeeps.

Actually, I'm quite accomplished at vehicular C4ing, which is why I'm saying that killing yourself in the process is a really noobish thing to do. Those of us who have done it a lot (and for a long time) can easily hop out, get the C4 kill, and live to tell the tale, kill survivors, take a flag, etc.

I have no problem with the tactic - but killing yourself in the process is just sloppy.

Real Men, Go down with the Ship, Jeep or Aircraft. Parachutes and Bailing is for the weak.

I find that its funner to make them very hard to get kill you and just as they think they have you, you bail and they get nothing for their efforts.

Here are my tips for Jihad Jeeping:

• Although the Dune Buggy is fast, its easily killed. Personally I like going with a Vondik since I can take a direct shot from a tank and still survive long enough to get with blast radius.
• I make a squad by myself and lock it. I ask the commander to spot the enemy tank and then I plan my approach. Try to take an armored vehicle from the side or the back since they are less likely to see you coming. Also don't hesitate to loop around and come from a different direction each time.
• You want to be somewhat unpredicatable as some tank pilots will wait for you to come to them.
• Try to jump out and let your vehicle coast into the enemy, then blow it. You can usually then pull out your G36C and take out any stragglers for one or two more kills before you go down.
• Before you spawn, make sure you spawn at a flag that has a vehicle to take. No point spawning at a flag and having to hoof it to the next one to get a vehicle. I usually spawn at a flag or two back behind the main front.
• Don't put your C4 on your vehicle while at your flag, drive a little away from your flag and then place the C4 on the vehicle. This way you don't have a teammate jump into the driver's seat and drive away with 2-3 C4 on their vehicle.
• Unlike the original poster, I place C4 all around my vehicle instead of 4-5 packs at the front. This way when I do use the detinator the combined blast radius will cover a larger area.
• If you see a flag being taken (gone grey), drive there and hopefully you can take out whomever is capping the flag.
• Run over your enemy. Since you're in a fast vehicle if you see a single guy run him over, don't Jihad just one guy.
• If you can't run him over, use the firepower in your vehicle to take him out - the machine guns and the new 1.2 patch will make it more likely you can take them out before they n00btube you.
• Avoid hills or inclines. Speed is your friend.
• Don't take passengers. If you have a passenger, drive them towards the next friendly flag near another vehicle, but don't take them into battle. Use the Cammo Rose to tell them to "Get Out".

That's pretty much it.
