[note: not really for bf2, but dead pixels sometimes can be bothersome to see]
When you buy a new lcd monitor, you should check for dead pixels first when you bring it home and plug it in. What's a dead pixel? Its basically a pixel on your screen that stays only one color and doesnt change..beacuse its dead. They are usually hard to see because its basically 1 pixel out of 1310720 (my resolution is at 1280X1024) and when u have a color similiar to the dead pixel..its impossible to spot it.
A good site to check is at
and scroll down (read instructions) and click on each of the color links and lets just say..ull kno if u see a dead pixel because with these tests, it makes it more obvious. Make sure your screen is clean and make sure that u try all the tests.
And i believe that a dead pixel is not fixable (IF THERE IS PLEASE TELL ME) but sometimes u can return it to the store and replace it. I unfortunately can't refund mine (its too late) so ill just have to live with it.
