Hey fellas some times I see this guy and he sees me. So I crouch and aim at his upper body with my American special forces gun(regular) and he does a roll in the air and just as he fires a couple rounds, I am DEAD. No how can u aim and kill your opponent while flipping, when your opponent is crouching and has better accuracy than u. It doesn't make sense. It there a better gun that I havne't unlocked yet?

Re: Some guys are too good!!!!!!!
Sammy,
The "rolling" is just animation and so they are actually prone when they do it. And, if I am not mistaken, right now if you are prone and in the air your deviation is the same as if you are prone and on the ground. I am not sure if a recent patch fixed this or not but it will be, in a way, fixed in the next patch.
In those cases, it doesn't make sense.
However, sometimes, you just get unlucky and they get lucky. . .it is part of the whole "deviation" thing.Comment

Re: Some guys are too good!!!!!!!
the skilled uses PKM and learn about bullet tragetory (kinda like learning to master AK47 in CS) and kill people in 3 shots.
The less experienced whine about hitbox.
spec op gun only does 17.5 damage per shot on support, be prepared to get gunned down a lot.Comment

"Bullet tragetory"? What the heck are you talking about?
The bullets come out in a random cone of fire, based on the size of your crosshair. Skilled users of the PKM and just about any gun fire in small enough bursts to keep this crosshair size down and thus, more chance of hitting.
There's no 'learning trajectory'. You make it sound like the bullets weight 2kg each and you have to lob them through the air to land on a target. :P
And anyway, there is plenty wrong with hitboxes. have you never tried to knife someone who was laying down, only for your knife to go through their torso and just go 'chink chink chink' on the concrete they are laying on? I have, and so have many others.Comment

Re: Some guys are too good!!!!!!!
yea...a lot of people that have been playing the game for a while just know how to shoot better...how to control the gun, where to aim, etc. It's kind of second nature for me now, I don't even think about it when I play, and I usually get a 2:1 k/d ratio every round I play.Comment

look, the spread in BF2 is NOT random, it can be learned and controlled, in a manner similar in CS.
I have never experienced the problem you described above, must have been your internet.
before you ask, I have a fiber optics connection (I live on campus), so my ping is usually around 3.
I would say that soon videos of pure gun ownage will pop up, personally I have done (and witnessed) PKM users go into an area and wipe out everyone while he's underfire, an impressive sight to see.Comment

Re: Some guys are too good!!!!!!!
yeah i agree about the hitboxes needing work. I use the usmc sub machine gun with a 30 round clip at close range I empty the whole clip in a guy and it still dont kill him he hits me with 5 rounds and im dead. Other times im firing from a distance and i use sparatic fire and take a guy down with 5 rounds what gives...the game far cry has much more accurate hit boxes, unless lag is a factor!Comment

Re: Some guys are too good!!!!!!!
the deviation on SMG is 0.8, very inaccurate. I wouldn't be surprise if that happened to you, since SMG bullet does the lowest damage in game.Originally posted by dominant1yeah i agree about the hitboxes needing work. blame it on skills, not hit box. spray and pray doesn't work.Comment

single shot = hits where you aim (if you arent moving , no matter if stand up or crouch)
burst (3 shots) : aim lower body , second or 3rd is HS.
full auto does more or less random yes
this goes for any weapon in any "normal" fps. ie cs , bf series , moh , cod etc etcComment

Re: Some guys are too good!!!!!!!
thats because in css the ak47 will do above 100damage gauranteed if u get a hs...Originally posted by Hu.Z_of_PLApeople used to argue that Ak47 in CS fires in random cone of fire, but now they can routinely pull off headshots

all u have to do is get the hs on your first fired bullet and wham u got a kill...
and that is why the m4 suxx and the ak47 pwns... eek this is a bf2 forum...
but there are certain methods when using the ak47 if ur gonna go full auto...Comment
