I have BF2 and SF, therefore I have two unlocks to spend before the next rank, which I will probably never get (50,000??? ugh.). I have not unlocked the support kits or the engi kits. I'd like some advice, specifically whether either of unlocks "changed" the way you play for the better.
My choices, as I see them:
1) Unlock support pkm and mg36. I actually like playing support once in a while, esp SF, but from what I've read, the mg36 isn't much to write home about AND they are improving the pkm accuracy in the next patch.
2) Unlock engi jackhammer and mp7. I hardly ever play engi, but the upcoming "Rolling days of Thunder" booster pack may change that.
3) Unlock the tier 1 support OR engi and wait for the patch to see what the scoop is on the unlocks DICE is adding. I don't think I will opt for the new SMG for the AT class. I'm really, really into the DAO-12. Therefore, I would probably give the sniper a try....and be woefully dissapointed as I was with the last sniper unlock.
4) Take a wait-and-see approach and don't unlock *ANYTHING* yet.
As of right now, I'm leaning toward unlocking the PKM and saving the last unlock until we get some in-game opinions of the upcoming unlocks.
If you're advice is not to worry about, play for fun, there isn't an UBER unlock...I know all that. So thanks and have a great day. Bye now.
However, the DAO-12 has absolutely changed how I play AT (Anti-TankMan drops rocket and suddenly becomes Anti-PersonnelMan), the L85A changed the way I play medic (hang back and shoot at heads, rush in, revive, heal, buddies, rush out), and the g36e changed the way I play medic again--rush in, finish off the bad guys, then revive/heal my people. The G3 changed the way I play assault, and the FN2000 did again (I almost left a mess on the screen when I got a scope plus a noobtoob). To varying degrees, all of these changes were fun, and if they stopped being fun (I didn't really do all that much toobing), I could switch back.
That's what I want to know: do any of you who've unlocked the engineer or support kits (SF or vBF2) get a different and/or better experience out of the game nowadays?
