does anyone play special forces any more?
I have been away for awhile, so when I get back I crank up the computer, load up the game, go to my favorites (I have about 50 I use) and bang, all the servers are still there and running but no-one is playing. So I tried again on Saturday afternoon (there have to be loads of people playing then)....nothing, even on the "all servers" tab there are only about 10 total servers with anyone playing SF on them (of the 600 or so that come up for me), where did everyone go? I guess it's back to vanilla again....does anyone play the expansion pack any more?

I play it but its annoying, every server I go into, I come out with a negative score most of the time, because theres always someone in the chopper hovering over the only base raping it with missiles, while the chopper reloads the gunner lets loose, this german guy had 68 kills and 2 deaths because he was raping with the chopper, then his gunner had like 28 kills and a few deaths.
Some of my favorite servers on BF2 like the EA ones, there always empty, I don't get much lag on them, and its all I can stick with right now, until I get 2GB ram, but really they are good servers since the people who play in them are usually the same people and have good teamwork skills, they don't just hog the chopper or aircrafts.Comment

I dont have SF so i dont play it. IS IT GOOD I DUNNO WHETHER TO GET IT OR EURO assault.
But if you come on the BF2 (no expansion) the servers are always packed with like 3 available spots. So my advice is use origional cuz there are tons of ppl on it.Comment

yeh i bought SF and played it non-stop for about a week. then i had about a 2 weeks break. an d upon returned.......... i dunno......... i just feel in love with bf2 vanilla again and exploiting the f2000 on an unsuspecting audience :evil:Comment

I stopped playing until this next patch is released.
The performance hit is too much for me to play it.
If/when the 1.2 is released, and if they fix performance issues with SF (without having to lower my settings from BF2 original), then I will start playing.
I can't believe I wasted 30$ on the expansion, but what can you do.

I play it everyday and always have 150 SF servers online,and those are only the one with people in it,not the empty ones included,i tend to go to Multiplay servers,those are the mostly lag free ones...Comment

I still play, and love it - despite the lousy performance!
I think the performance issues is what's keeping most people away from playing. Hopefully the 1.2 patch will rectify the situation, so we can see as many SF-players as there was right after the release!Comment
