win64 help
A clan mate of mine just built a new pc.He installed new winxp64 trail.He says it looks and works great expect for one game BF2 wont run.Anyone know a fix or a way to get bf2 to work with winxp64?thanks

BF2 works perfectly on XP64. It'll give you a warning on install saying that it just works with 32bit systems but that doesn't stop you from playing it.
We'll need more info because it doesn't seem to be XP64 that's stopping him from playing. -

as Ptegan said, X64 can perfectly run 32-bit applications. (Just like how XP32-bit can run 16 bit applications, etc)
Its not the OS, but possibly a driver error or error with BF2 (wouldnt suprise me at all)Comment

He says he gets server list joins a server.Takes forever to load map then it crashes or bf2 just turns off.He has a 7800gt.Could it be firewall problems?Comment

Yeah i would atleast try disabling windows firewall and any AntiVirus applications before running BF2 and trying it that way.
They are known to cause issues.Comment
