iron gator fps

I don't like this map but i decided to play the 64 player version of it. I was getting 20fps most of the time. Still playable but really unenjoyable. This is the only map that brings my pc to its knees. Does any1 play this map at high fps?

I got a AMD Athlon XP 4000 procesor, 2 gig of ram, 2 7800GTX's running in SLI and on some parts of Iron Gator my FPS are around 20 also. :|:

wow even on an sli pc, you get 20 fps on iron gator? I really hope that the new patch gives a fps boost. Im only playing bf2 vanilla because of this for now

When I first started to play on this map it was more or less impossible inside at any point, I kept away for a while but now for some unknow reason now it seems to play fine. Maybe this problem is a mix of server lag and the game engine?

I don't know how to find out my FPS so don't know if they have changed, but I imagine that they have.

Same here, look at the specs in my sig, performance dips into the 20's at Iron Gator - even at MEDIUM details (dynamic light and shadows OFF) in 1024x768!

Shame really, as it's my favorite map.. Doesn't stop me from playing it though!

I was planning to get the next nvidia card 7900 but after seeing all these posts, i probably won't. Im sure even with the new 7900 GTX, framerate will suck.

LOL its the way the game is programmed not the card m8. Anyways, it's playable alright and 20 is the minium i would get, 80fps in some places.

its the game, the engine and programming suck, you could have the best alienware and wont matter, BF2SF especially needs some serious work!

I have Athlon 3200+ (64), ATI 9800 Pro, 1G value ram, and I have 60 fps average on irongator, with texture and geometry on high.

I run it at 85 FPS constant, never lags for me. Its one of the few maps where the helicopters don't lag either

You ppl who get good fps on that map, are you playing with all settings on high? I don't care about your good fps unless everything is on high. I bet i get better fps if i turned down my settings.

I play it at 1028x768 with all settings on high. Framerate sucks though
