I have never needed to add map to maplist. Couple things - is it a windows server or linux?

linux is case sensitive, I think it needs to be all lower case. The server needs to have server.zip and the info folder in order to run the map. I use BFCC to add maps to the map list, so I am not sure about editing the maplist.con file. But perhaps it is case sensitive in there as well.

Don't you use the dedicated server program from EA ?

Yeppers I tried that and I did have bf2cc installed at first , when I get th file it comes with a server and client file zipped, I think im not uploading them right. I there a tutorial or anything i can follow that would help me out. when i had bf2cc i could get the maps on the available map list but wouldnt load into map control. Im stumped.....................

                  Re: Help Please

To get custom maps working on linux this is how to do it.

The map has to be uploaded to the mods/bf2/levels folder

the main map folder - info file and the server.zip

your level folder needs to be lowercase
                  Example - Strike_at_Karkand needs to be strike_at_karkand
the Info folder needs to be lowercase > info
and last thing the .desc file inside the info folder needs to be lowercase > strike_at_karkand.desc

                  So
                  strike_at_karkand > info > strike_at_karkand.desc

                  it will work
