CD problems with Bf2

For some reason my cd rom is not reading my bf2 cd all of the sudden, its starts to spin then nothing happens. With other games the Cd rom is reading the CD's. I have to put in my Cd for a couple of times before it works:hmm: Do any of you have the same problem as me? Or does any of you can help me? I've already did re-install my CD-Drive but that doesn't make any diffirence...

did u try checking ur disc for any scratches or cleaning it?

Yes, but i'm having this problem from the start that I bought the CD

CD ROM, have i missed something doesnt battelfield only run with dvd rom, and if dvd its not fast enough, i had to replace the old dvd rom with a newer faster one, hope this helps, some games will start with cd rom but battlefield is only for dvd rom .

what are u trying to put the disc into, sc rom or dvd rom, it does make a difference, if its cd rom , it wont work if its dvd rom its not fast enough its old and needs to be 8 times faster, let us know,

I had problems myself came up with an error code and it was the rom that was not working. i got another rom and now it works fine

Hi, I recently purchased BF 2 and am having the same problem. Installation and updating went smoothly, but once I try to play the game I get the "Please ensure Battlefield 2 Install Disc is in the drive, select OK and restart the application" error. I bought the PCcd version and I have the 2nd disk in my CD ROM. I have also tried to put the cd into my DVD ROM, but I get the same error. I have tried EA's troubleshooting guides (to know result) as well as some other ppl's advice, and just cant seem to get the game started. If anyone know's how this can be fixed, please post your advice. Thanks.

Search in the forums for daemon. I havent used my BF2 DVD to play for about a month now.

its ur disk drive or get a nother disk of BF2

Well, when i put in my BF2 disc, i dont get any error but it cant find the disc. It's like there's no CD/DVD in my drive. but sometimes it works fine when i re-input my DVD a couple of times.
