I have been shot dead out of tanks with nary a nick on the vehicle.

It's happened to me a few times although it appears to be very rare. The most memorable time happened when an attack chopper was hovering over me and I somehow started receiving damage (as indicated by the poorly done pain sounds) until I died while inside the tank. Meanwhile my tank was relatively unscathed with no smoke effects to boot. I am assuming that the viewport of the tank is somehow vulnerable to gunfire. Is it not a coincidence that this is also the purported weakspot of the tank as has been debated endlessly in these forums? However, I do not think that this is how the attack chopper killed me; it just appears to be the logical conclusion after taking the "weakspot" into account.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO REPRODUCE THIS?

EDIT: I forgot to mention that Spec Ops can plant c4 directly on the tank viewport to obstruct the drivers view. Surely it must be possible for a talented sniper to put a 50. bullet through the glass. It has to be armoured glass.

the m95 sniper rifle can penetrate helicopter glass and kill you, its happened to me numerous times with the TK's.

I know all about the chopper and jet glass, believe me. I am only concerned with tanks.

maybe the tank has a glitch in the model between cracks, does it happen often cause its never happened to me

I have never heard of such a thing myself. I would love to see the truth behind this.

Well, you need to tell us what weapon/vehicle killed you!

            That makes all the difference!

Well see that's the unfortunate thing about it. In the few times that it has happened to me, I did not get the chance to see what killed me although I was in fact killed by someone since i got the "killed by so-so" message. I really have no clue how I was killed although I know it happened. I've seen other people on these forums claim the same thing in unrelated threads. Hopefully they will come foward after seeing this.

I like the C4 blinding of Tank !!!!
The tank driver must have seen you coming then 'thud!' he is blinded and knowing that a C4 chucker is circling him. The question is then Boom or No Boom ?

                  The answer is always boom.

Also, 50cal can't penetrate a tank, there is no glass, and there is no player model to be hit and killed inside the vehicle. I've died inside my tank before, but its a very rare event. If you can reproduce it consistantly, post it here.

I've been shot out of choppers, seems jet guns penetrate glass.

DICE? is that for real? Well, I'm not sure how to reproduce it consistently, I was hoping for someone to clue me in on it so I can snipe tank drivers lol. It is definitly there and definitly rare like you said although I believe that in time players will figure it out and begin to use it.

It's happened a couple of times to me when a helicopter straffes my tank with rockets, I die, and the tank rolls a few feet, stops, and catches fire. I think you'd have to spend quite a bit of time inside a server trying to reproduce this. It's so rare and I die so often anyways that it's not really a big deal to me.

It's happened to me more than once while a chopper was near me as well. I cannot say for certain I was ever killed by a chopper in these instances though as things were so chaotic when it happened.
