First Sergeant ranking

i just got all my basic badges and still no first sargent? i have well over 20600 pts. but no rank what is going on? what do i do or did i miss somehting. help

you have to get all your basics before you reach 20000 not after.so your not going to go up a rank

so i have gotten gunnery sgt and then got all basic ,so what u are sayin is i am screwed?no first sgt.?

In response to Casey and reichter, yes, you're screwed. It's either master sergeant or first sergeant, not one onto the other.

The major difference between several of the higher ranks is that you get the "higher" rank if you have certain badges. Whichever rank you get, each pair only gives you one unlock.

It is also worth noting that the upper ranks are not progressive. You will only earn one rank per point bracket. If you make it to Master Sergeant without the awards, you will not be promoted to First upon earning the missing awards.

make sure you get all your basics before you reach these ranks.they are easy to get
